Funny thing about gardening,
Weeds grow no matter what.
What you really want to
harvest though, must be planted
and cared for with deliberate
intent.

Supreme Happiness
If you are not
supremely happy,
you are holding
a grievence -
a barrier - to love,
to your true self.

the W in Christmas
We pass this story along to you;
a gift we received from our friend Jill.
The author is unknown
The "W" in Christmas
Last December, I vowed to make Christmas
a calm and peaceful experience. I had cut
back on nonessential obligations - extensive
card writing, endless baking, decorating, and
even overspending. Yet still, I found myself
exhausted, unable to appreciate the precious
family moments, and of course, the true
meaning of Christmas. My son, Nicholas, was
in kindergarten that year. It was an exciting
season for a six year old. For weeks, he'd been
memorizing songs for his school's
"Winter Pageant." I didn't have the heart to
tell him I'd be working the night of the production.
Unwilling to miss his shining moment, I spoke with
his teacher. She assured me there'd be a dress
rehearsal the morning of the presentation. All
parents unable to attend that evening were
welcome to come then. Fortunately, Nicholas
seemed happy with the compromise. So, the
morning of the dress rehearsal, I filed in ten
minutes early, found a spot on the cafeteria
floor and sat down. Around the room, I saw
several other parents quietly scampering to
their seats. As I waited, the students were
led into the room. Each class, accompanied
by their teacher, sat cross-legged on the floor.
Then, each group, one by one, rose to perform
their song.Because the public school system
had long stopped referring to the holiday as
"Christmas," I didn't expect anything other
than fun, commercial entertainment - songs of
reindeer, Santa Claus, snowflakes and good
cheer. So, when my son's class rose to sing,
"Christmas Love," I was slightly taken aback
by its bold title.Nicholas was aglow, as were all
of his classmates, adorned in fuzzy mittens,
red sweaters, and bright snowcaps upon their
heads. Those in the front row- center stage - held
up large letters, one by one, to spell out the title
of the song.As the class would sing "C is for
Christmas," a child would hold up the letter C.
Then, "H is for Happy," and on and on, until each
child holding up his portion had presented the
complete message, "Christmas Love."The
performance was going smoothly, until suddenly,
we noticed her; a small, quiet, girl in the front row
holding the letter "M" upside down - totally
unaware her letter "M" appeared as a "W".
The audience of 1st through 6th graders
snickered at this little one's mistake. But she
had no idea they were laughing at her, so she
stood tall, proudly holding her "W".Although
many teachers tried to shush the children, the
laughter continued until the last letter was raised,
and we all saw it together. A hush came over the
audience and eyes began to widen. In that instant,
we understood the reason we were there, why we
celebrated the holiday in the first place, why even
in the chaos, there was a purpose for our festivities.
For when the last letter was held high, the
message read loud and clear:
"C H R I S T W A S L O V E"
"We're just trying to keep on keeping on"
Can we set aside our differences long enough
to understand the essence of love - however
we chooze to believe it......?

BEyond the Known
We can not want that which
we do not know. If all we know
is lack and loss, what we align
ourselves with is lack and loss.
If all we have known is poor
health and disease, what we
align ourselves with is poor
health and disease. If all we
have known is conflict and
blame then, what we align
ourselves, our thoughts, our
actions with is conflict and blame.
BE still and listen to the
small voice inside you that
speaks only the truth of
who you really are.
Only LOVE is real!

To BE in Harmony
"We would not let the beliefs
of the world tell us what GOD
would have us do is impossible.
Instead, we will try to recognize
that only what GOD would
have us do is possible"
~~ Course in Miracles ~~
When we find ourselves struggling,
when it feels like life in an
uphill battle, we are out of harmony
with our true nature.

Your Beliefs
Beliefs rule your life!
Whether you recognize them,
or know that they exist,
or not.
Your current beliefs,
and the emotional charge
they carry, are what is
holding you back from
reaching your true potential;
from realizing your dreams.

the Journey or the Destination?
Are you keeping score? Are you
measuring the time and distance between
where you are - what you want - and
where you want to be?
Nothing exists until it is measured,
quantified, qualified, weighed or
somehow given a size value.
If what you are observing is the
distance, the measuring, then what is
is the distance, the measurement,
rather than the desired destination!

your place of residence,
your age, race, color, creed,

Where it all BEgins...
What the world needs now is love, sweet love.
It's the only thing that there's just too little of.
In quantum physical terms, we would say
ours is a Universe of super positions of
multiple possibilities always in an ever changing
collapse of the wave function - which is an
individual choice.
In simpler terms, the world is as we say it is
at any given point in time and space - which
are part of what we say is.
There is only one absolute in all of the Universe,
one common thread in this grand tapestry we
call life.

Do Affirmations Really Work?
What is an affirmation?
Those pretty, soothing little words and phrases you say to yourself in an effort to make your dreams come true....
Over and over and over again, you tell yourself that you are the picture of health; that you have wealth beyond your wildest dreams and that your relationships with others couldn't be any better.
Then, why is that not the case?
Two possibilities come to mind:
#1 What you say and what you do are two different things. We observe your health for example.
What are you doing to cause a healthy state of being?
Are you eating right, getting enough sleep and exercise?
Oh, really?
Most people take better care of their cars then they do of their bodies. We take better care of our dogs and cats then we do of ourselves.
Why is that?
#2 What we think about we bring about!
Our affirmations are words and phrases that describe what we want our lives to be like... usually.
Then our secret thoughts - our true thoughts - show us why what we want is not possible. The "tail enders" as Gary Craig* would say.
They sound like this:
Affirmation: I am now living the life of my dreams in excellent health, in abundant wealth, with the people I love.
The Tail Ender: Who am I trying to kid? I can't even see my waistline any more, I worry every day about having enough money to put gas in the car, and how can I expect anyone in their right mind to love me. Geeze! I don't even love me?
It reminds me of the story of the gardener who decided he would affirm his way to a weedless garden by simply stating his affirmation over and over again.
He lovingly tilled the soil and planted his chozen seeds. Then, for weeks and weeks, he went out to his garden, closed his eyes, and proclaimed his affirmation; "There are no weeds in my garden! There are no weeds in my garden! There are no weeds in my garden!
He opened his eyes and, lo and behold, the weeds had taken over his garden!!!
How could this be!?!
He was thinking all the right thoughts? What happened?
Thoughts without specific action are examples of the movie "Ground Hog Day!"
Without specific action, we never know what will happen.
Thought = feeling = action = outcome.
What do you think about?
How do you feel about your thoughts?
What actions do you take?
What are the outcomes you are experiencing now?
WE would be interested in your thoughts.....

Create Your Day...
If you had the power to create your day exactly the way you wanted it to be, in every detail, what would it be like?
Who would you spend time with and why?
Where would you be?
What would you be doing?
And... most importantly... how would you be feeling?
How would you really be feeeeeelllllling?
Promise yourself to take a few minutes today, to think those thoughts, those
designer thoughts, and immerse yourself in that feeling.
Notice what happens to your body, to your mind, to the way you see things,
to the sounds you hear. Notice, now, what gets your attention.
Whatever you focus your attention on expands.

A New Day!
It's morning. A new day is beginning. Is there any better time?
I wake up so incredibly excited I can hardly contain myself. Then I spend
the rest of the day finding things to be excited about.
What are the very first thoughts you have every day? Those first
thoughts are what set the tone for your entire day. Some would call it
"setting an intention".
You can do that too you know...
Wake up so excited ...you have already decided to have a spectacular
day, filled with all the joy, excitement and wonder that the
Universe is here to bring to you!
Someone is going to decide your day. Shouldn't it be you?
How would you life change if you stepped up to the Magnificence
that you are?
